Composite readiness score

A 0–100 score across six pillars. See exactly where you are strong and where you are exposed.

Peer benchmark

Compare your score against CHROs and CPOs in your sector and organisation size band.

Curated tool kit

AI tools, agent templates, and governance resources matched to your maturity level — not a generic list.

The assessment framework

Six pillars. 28 questions. No waffle.

Each pillar is scored 0–10. All six pillars contribute to your composite readiness score.

01

HR Foundation

Do you have the baseline operational and strategic capability to act as a credible AI adopter? Covers service delivery, talent, and business partnering.

02

People Data & Analytics

Is the data estate that AI will consume accurate, governed, and complete? People analytics maturity, data quality, and tech stack integration.

03

AI Adoption

What is your HR function actually doing with AI today — tools, agents, pilots, governance, and measurable outcomes?

04

Data Governance & Legal Compliance

GDPR, EU AI Act high-risk classification, DPIAs, algorithmic bias, transparency obligations, and data subject rights. The pillar most HR functions underestimate.

05

Organisation Readiness

Employee trust, manager capability, change capacity, and — where relevant — trade union and works council engagement. The non-technical blocker most assessments ignore.

06

Leadership & CHRO

Your own AI fluency, board-level mandate, dedicated budget, and whether you personally model AI-enabled working. The strongest predictor of adoption success.

Frequently asked questions

Questions CHROs ask us before they start

A free 20–25 minute self-assessment for CHROs and CPOs at enterprise organisations (1,000+ employees). It scores your HR function across six pillars and gives you a composite score, peer benchmark, curated tool kit, and 90-day roadmap. Developed by Andy Doyle, CHRO and AI transformation leader.

Yes. Pillar 4 is a dedicated governance diagnostic covering GDPR (including DPIAs, data subject rights, and automated decision-making under Article 22), the EU AI Act high-risk classification for HR applications, employment law, and algorithmic bias. Compliance flags are also embedded in each of the other five pillars.

Completely free. You provide your name, work email, job title, sector, and organisation size. Your personalised report is delivered by email. You can optionally opt in to receive future insights from Andy Doyle — but this is entirely separate from receiving your report and is not required.

Your score is compared against anonymised, aggregated data from other CHROs and CPOs who have completed the index, filtered by sector and organisation size. The benchmark builds as the community grows. Initial calibration draws on published research from Gartner, SHRM, McKinsey, and the CHRO Association 2026 surveys.

Your personal data (name, email, job details) is processed solely to deliver your report and, if you have opted in, to send you updates. Your assessment responses contribute to the community benchmark in anonymised, aggregated form only. No individual responses are shared with third parties. Processing is based on consent under UK/EU GDPR Article 6(1)(a). You can request deletion at any time.
